Specimens are ignited with a flame whilst being exposed to a radiant panel.&nbsp; The ignition flame is removed and the distance that the specimens burn away from the radiant panel is measured in order to obtain the critical heat flux (CHF) \/ critical radiant flux (CRF).&nbsp;
